Have you ever imagined yourself sleeping in the middle of the desert dunes, riding a camel in the Sahara, watching the best sunrise ever seen, walking through the labyrinths of the Medina of Fez?… Well, with Erasmus Club Seville you can fulfill your dreams . Five incredible days to get to know the Moroccan culture, its unforgettable landscapes, its charming streets, its imperial cities, its people, its delicious food, its camels, its shows, its infinite desert … Take magical memories with you.
We will visit the famous Imperial Capital of Morocco, Fez (Cultural Capital), Meknes (Ismaili Capital), we will cross the Atalas Mountains and ride camels in the middle of the Sahara Desert . All this in a single five-day trip.

Itinerary
DAY 1: Lisbon- Algeciras – Tanger Med – Fez
▸Meeting in Restauradores Square and departure to Algeciras. (Departure and ferry times are confirmed 4 days before departure)
▸Departure to Tanger Med, arrival and passing customs control. After passing the control we go to the Imperial City of Fez. Where we will do a short panoramic tour by bus and a visit to the old town.
▸Next we go to the hotel (Fez), check in and dinner.
DAY 2: Fez – Midelt – Middle and High Atlas – Merzouga
▸07h00-07h50: Breakfast at the hotel
▸08h00: Departure from the hotel with all the suitcases on the bus, we will begin our route crossing, already immersed in the Middle Atlas, the town of Ifrane , a small town with an Alpine appearance and houses with gabled slate roofs, founded in 1929 as recreation city, about 1650 meters. of altitude. We will also cross the largest cedar forest in the world, with ancient trees and a colony of sylvana macaques, wild monkeys that live freely in these forests . Be careful with them! If you take out some food, it will be taken away before you know it.

▸Check in at the stores and Dinner in the middle of the dunes.
▸We spent the night in haimas “Dromedary Hair Tents” like those used by Desert Nomads to enjoy a Magical Night under thousands of Stars.
▸After dinner, we will have a fire party and African dances prepared. Free time to observe the stars
DAY 3: Sahara Desert
▸Today “Date with the Dawn”: We recommend getting up early to see the Sunrise from the dunes.
▸ Breakfast and half-day excursion in 4X4 cars to Merzouga and the Great Erg Chebi “Desert of Fine Sand Dunes in which we will see the virgin desert, we will pass through the small oases visited by the Berber nomads, the hamada (stone desert) and places where fossils dating back millions of years are found. During this 4×4 excursion we will make as many stops as we want to take photos, walk and observe everything that catches our attention along the route.
▸ End of excursion at the Hostel and lunch included.
▸In the afternoon, Camel ride in the dunes watching the sunset. At night at the camp a show of moving and color-changing sand sculptures awaits us. You will have the opportunity to listen to the silence of the desert and enjoy a panoramic view of the dunes.

DAY 4: Merzouga – Fez
▸After our breakfast, we will begin our journey to Fez , along the way we will find dozens of ksur and kasbash, lost among the palm groves and dunes. Stop along the way for lunch (Buffet Option: €12)
▸Stop in the city of Ifrane + free time
▸Arrival in Fez and check in at the hotel.
▸9:00 p.m.: Dinner at the hotel.
DAY 5: Fez – Tangier – Algeciras
▸Breakfast at the hotel and check out 06:50-07:45.
▸08:00 hrs. Meeting at the hotel reception with the local guide from Fez, a beautiful city where the rich Moroccan artisan tradition is still alive today. Fez represents a lost world for Western civilizations. Founded by Moulay Idriss in the year 791, it is today the religious and spiritual capital of Morocco.
Walking through the labyrinthine streets of Fez transports you to past worlds in which potters, forgers and artisans coexist with the foreign visitor, who never ceases to be surprised by observing its people and sniffing the multiple aromas and smells that fill the atmosphere of this city.
We will start with Fez el Jedid, including the Alawite Square, exterior of the Royal Palace and Dar el Makhzen. We will continue towards the walking tour of Fez el Bali. We will visit the Attarin spice souk. We will arrive at Nejjarin Square where the founduk of the same name is located and we will visit the Bounania madrasa. We will continue towards Es Seffarin square to finish the visit in the tanners’ quarter and see the tanneries.
Mirrors, perfumes, chickens, doves, silverware, gold, slippers, sandals, chadors, djellabas, drums, vegetables, fruits, pottery, ceramics, wrought iron, herbs (nothing illegal), spices, portraits of the king, cereals, books, glassware and everything imaginable, everything, is here. The constant rattling of the donkeys, loaded with merchandise from various origins, transports you to another world only broken by the cry of “balak” with which the animal’s owner warns passersby of the donkey’s passage.
▸Departure to Tanger Med.
▸Arrival at the port of Tangier and boarding.
